Terms & Conditions
1. RESERVATIONS/ BOOKING
With Good Karma Trekking, you simply have to fill out the booking form to ensure all the services (hotel, vehicles, guide, or etc) are available as agreed. Bookings can with a 25% deposit along with your personal details (arrival date, passport details, flight numbers and itineraries). This will create a bonding contract at which point we will issue a confirmation invoice. Please make sure that you have read and thoroughly understand the following booking conditions.
2. PRICESGood Karma Trekking guarantees that once we have received your deposit, the price will not change although we reserve the right to alter according to the introduction of introduction of new taxes rate or permit requirements. We price our tours and packages based on the needs of our customers and the Cape Town declaration for responsible tourism. Prices are based on the costs for the current year.
3. DATE OF DEPARTURE & COLLECTION TIMINGSWe are flexible to minor changes is your departure date and are happy to reschedule whenever possible. If any changes need to be made, please contact Good Karma Trekking as soon as possible.
4. PASSPORTS & VISASA passport valid for six months is required for entry to Nepal. Nepal has a visa on arrival system although you can obtain a visa from the Nepal embassy or consulate in your home country. Please note that visa cost is not includes in our cost. Good Karma Trekking accepts no responsibility for any expense incurred from any irregularity in your documents.
5. EXTRA COSTSThe client is responsible for their portion of the extra cost due to unforeseen expenses that may arise due to the factors beyond our control including landslides, political unrest, personal illness, etc.
6. TRANSFER OF BOOKINGGood Karma Trekking reserves the right to decide whether the tour is transferable or not. Under most circumstances, treks are transferable and we are happy to assist you in any way possible regarding a change in travel plans.
7. BREAKING OF TOURS & TREKKINGGood Karma Trekking will not be held liable for any refund to any broken tour or trek due to client's sickness, accident, landslides or other factors beyond our control.
8. CANCELLATIONIf you cancel the tour once booked then the following cancellation charge will apply:
1. 20% of the tour cost if notified 5 weeks prior to arrival date. This includes costs for the entire tour.
2. 30% of the tour cost if notified 3 weeks prior to arrival date. This includes costs for the entire tour.
3. No refund is available upon shorter notice as the booking will be completed.
We assume no liability for loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss unless such cause is due to employee negligence, in which case our liability is limited (except for death or personal injury) to a maximum of the refund of the tour cost. We do not own or manage the vehicles, accommodation, and restaurants used and we have no liability for loss or damage caused by the proprietors or operators thereof.
10. COMPLAINTSIf you have a problem with our package please inform our operator at present who will be happy to make any necessary changes as soon as possible. If the complain is not resolved locally please make a written complain to our office at Kathmandu as soon as possible. If the complaint isn’t resolved we will make every effort to provide reasonable compensation.
11. WHAT INCLUDES IN TRIP?This is specifically stated on each itinerary. If still you have any confusion please contact a Good Karma Staff member to clear up any uncertainty.
12. TRAVEL INSURANCE
It is strongly advised that travelers should have a comprehensive travel insurance and do not travel against medical advice. Your insurance details (policy number, policy provider, and emergency contact) should be provided to Good Karma Trekking before start your trek tour. Insurance is available in Nepal but it would be always better to obtain insurance in your home country
13. HELICOPTER CHARTER/RESCUEIf a client requires emergency evacuation or rescue, for whatever cause, the client must pay all costs associated with the rescue operation which may include: helicopter charter, medical treatment expenses, extra porter, etc. The client will be provided with receipts to claim these expenses with her/his insurance co. The company may ask the guest to sign a blank SALES SLIP of her/his CREDIT CARD to allow charter if a helicopter rescue is required. At the end of Trekking the signed SALES SLIP will be returned to her/him if no rescue is required.
14. IF GOOD KARMA TREKKING HAVE TO CANCELIf for any reason the trip Must be cancelled you will have a choice of either an alternative tour/ trek package or full refund. Cancellation will only occur due to factors outside of our control such war, political instability, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, natural disaster, fire, or adverse weather conditions
15. OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUi. We accept responsibility for ensuring that the services which you book with us are supplied as agreed in our proposals and that services offered reach a reasonable standard. We make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the travel services we offer are properly arranged. We will provide you with the best safety, hygiene and quality throughout your booking with Good Karma
ii. We accept responsibility for the acts and/or omissions of our employees, agents and suppliers (provided they were at the time carrying out work authorized by us) except where they lead to death, injury or illness. Our maximum liability in all cases shall be limited
