Mardi Himal is a less-explored peak, offering a more solitary and peaceful climbing experience compared to well-known routes like Annapurna Base Camp.
The climbing route is considered less technical, making it suitable for climbers with moderate experience and a good level of fitness.
The peak was officially categorized as a climbing peak by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), further solidifying its appeal to adventurous climbers.
From the summit, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the Annapurna range, including Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Hiunchuli, and other majestic peaks.
The trek itself offers glimpses of these peaks throughout the route, especially from viewpoints like Mardi Himal Base Camp and the High Camp.
The summit also provides a closer look at the rugged southwest face of Machhapuchhre, separating the peak from a col at 5,200 meters.
The trek leads through a variety of landscapes, including dense rhododendron forests, alpine meadows, and rugged high-altitude terrain.
You'll traverse across valleys, streams, and rivers, and even experience the unique local culture and traditions of the Gurung and Magar people.
The trail offers opportunities to observe wildlife, including the national bird of Nepal, the Pheasant, and other fauna like deer and possibly snow leopards.
The trek allows you to interact with local communities and experience their unique culture, traditions, and lifestyle, especially in villages like Siding.
You'll stay in local teahouses, enjoying the hospitality of the local people and sampling local dishes.
The trek also provides a glimpse into the farming practices and traditional architecture of the region.
The peak is relatively accessible to climbers with moderate experience, as the climbing itself is not overly technical.
The trek to the base camp and high camp is also relatively easy, making it a suitable option for first-time trekkers and those with a good level of fitness.

Trip Overview
Mardi Himal Climb is one of the most beautiful, short, easy trekking peaks in Nepal. It remains beneath the Machhapuchhre edge in the Annapurna range. Mardi Himal (5587 m), is one of the lowest trekking peaks in Nepal. It is ideal for mountaineers who want to gain some mountain climbing experience before taking on 8000m mountains. The climbers of this peak do not require any previous mountaineering experience.
The climbers can observe snow-capped mountains, including Annapurna I-III, Gangapurna, Mt. Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Fang Peak, Him Chuli, Singu Chuli, and others from the summit. The Mardi Himal region is a virgin landscape in Nepal that has yet to be explored. The remote trail of the region has very few trekkers and climbers.
Moreover, this unique peak climbing also includes a trekking adventure in the Himalayan foothills. Trekkers need to trek for around two weeks to arrive at the base of Mardi Himal. They will also have the opportunity to explore the Thakali, Gurung, and Magar community‘s culture, tradition, and lifestyle. The trails are all covered in Buddhist prayer flags, chortens, and mani walls.
Further more, the Mardi Himal trek is a relatively more straightforward peak climbing adventure. However, you do need a basic level of physical fitness and stamina to complete this expedition. We are offering this outstanding Mardi Himal climb package at a reasonable cost. Read further for this detailed itinerary and other relevant information in detail.
