Ghorepani Poon hill trekking Route
The Annapurna Himalaya has the little settlement of Tikhedhunga. It frequently serves as the primary rest station along the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking. From Pokhara, you can reach Tikhedhunga by a scenic drive to Nayapul and a few hours of walking. You can enjoy a wonderful experience during Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking from Pokhara towards Tikhedhunga.

The Poon hill trekking, which includes the Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani hike, offers an exceptional perspective of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. The distance from Tikhedhunga to Ulleri is 4-5 kilometers (2-3hours). The entire journey from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani is through Ulleri, Banthanti, and Nange-thanti and takes 6 to 7 hours.

You may reach Ulleri, a Gurung settlement, from Tikhedhunga by ascending a set of stairs cut into the side of a sizable hill. One of the hardest walks on trekking is this one. The phrase “Bistarai, Bistarai!” means to ascend or descend the steps slowly. Follow the stone steps all the way to Ghorepani from Ulleri. Since the route covers rhododendron blooming in the spring, this section is arguably the most picturesque. When you need a break, pause to take in the breathtaking views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Peak) and Annapurna South.

The main attraction of the walk, the sunrise over the Himalayas, can be seen at Ghorepani, Poon hill viewpoint, so we should get up early and go up there before the sun rises. All of the trekkers will remember this particular moment. From the highest vantage point, you may take in breathtaking views of the nearby snowy peaks, including Machhapuchhre (6,993m), Annapurna (8,091m), Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Hiunchuli (6,441m), and Annapurna South (7,219m). The main appeal of the trekking is the view from Poon Hill, but it also includes a visit to the picturesque Ghandruk hamlet, the second-largest Gurung town in Nepal. While living in the village, you will get the opportunity to learn about Gurung culture and customs. You will enjoy our stay at Jhinu Danda and the Jhinu hot springs.
