It will take a little longer to complete your ABC with Poon Hill and Mardi Himal Trek today. After a sumptuous breakfast in Chomrong, you will descend a stone stairway to get to Chomrong Khola. You will ascend across terraced fields and verdant hills in the direction of the little village of Sinuwa after crossing the suspension bridge. Sinuwa, a small community situated on a ridge, offers a spectacular up-close view of Mt. Fishtail and a breathtaking panorama. From Sinuwa, it takes a few hours to go to the settlement of Khuldighar. By descending a stone staircase from Khuldighar to an area of particularly thick bamboo, rhododendron, and oak trees close to the Modi River, you may get to the settlement of Bamboo. You will ultimately reach Dovan after a gradual rise through the excellent cover of the forest while following Modi Khola.
ABC via Poonhill with Mardi Himal Trek Route for today’s trek runs from Dovan to Deurali. The Poon Hill track that leads to the Mardi Himal Trek with ABC travels through rhododendron and bamboo forests and is filled with waterfalls. By the time you reach the Himalaya, the rainforest is exposed to the sun and the glacier river is visible in all its spectacular beauty. As you descend the Modi Khola, you will first pass through a tiny gorge. You must next climb steeply through a much drier forest to get to Hinku Cave. The trail then falls before climbing once more to reach Deurali, the day’s most gorgeous stretch. Less vegetation allows for a clearer view of the valley, the river below, and the steep granite cliffs with bands of wispy waterfalls above. A wonderful site to stay the night is Deurali.
After an arduous climb from Deurali, where the road meanders through a riverbed, you will ultimately arrive at Machhapuchhre Base Camp. At Machhapuchhre Base Camp, you may get a stunning panoramic view of the nearby peaks, including Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna, Himchuli, and others. You must go northwest to eventually arrive at Annapurna Base Camp. The Annapurna Base Camp via Poonhill with Mardi Trek route to ABC is wider, less vegetated, and avalanche-prone; caution should be taken to minimize any potential dangers. All of the mountains may be viewed in from ABC, including Hiunchuli, Annapurna South to Annapurna I, Khangsar Kang, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and Machhapuchhare. You will never forget this day in your entire life due to the breathtaking majesty of the nearby snow-capped mountains. You will spend the night in Base Camp.
After viewing a magnificent dawn from ABC, you will leave your mark on the Annapurna Sanctuary. From the Base Camp, you will descend to Sinuwa during your Annapurna Base Camp Trek via Poonhill with Mardi Himal. The same road must be taken to go back to Sinuwa, passing via MBC, Deurali, Himalaya, Bamboo, and Khuldighar. As you pass peaceful homesteads, ascend through alpine valleys, and through lovely forests, you will start to realize how the journey is different when taken in reverse. The terrain will also be a little easier to negotiate as you make your way down from the high elevations of the base camp. Once you get to Sinuwa, you may spend the evening any way you choose after checking into a nice trekking lodge.
To begin your Mardi Himal Trek, which is the last trek, you will leave Sinuwa today and go to Landruk. The path for your Annapurna Base Camp Trek via Poonhill with Mardi Himal will first take you down till you reach the suspension bridge, after which you will climb up to Chomrong. To go to Jhinu Danda from Chomrong, you must stroll for a bit. Jhinu Danda is well known for its hot spring, where you may take a soak and unwind. You will move toward New Bridge and then Landruk after spending some time at the hot springs. You will be astounded by the lush, green forest, numerous birds, little waterfalls, and serene, lovely surroundings as you travel.
It is a steep walk through hamlets of pine and juniper to get to Forest Camp from Landruk. The high peaks become more visible as you proceed. There are only a few sparsely spaced, straightforward teahouses in the forest camp, which is wonderfully peaceful and isolated. From Forest Camp, you will trek through moss and lichen-covered forests via the ABC and Mardi Himal Trek via the Poon Hill route to Low Camp. The area is dominated by rhododendron trees, and the Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Dhaulagiri Mountain Peaks may be seen in stunning detail in the distance. Like Forest Camp, Low Camp is made up of just a few basic lodges, and the ambiance is completed by a grand view of the Himalayan valley.
Your Mardi Himal and ABC Trek via Poonhill Itinerary will start at Low Camp and go to High Camp via Badal Danda. To go to Badal Danda, you must climb through a rhododendron forest for one hour. Despite the difficulties of the paths, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of Machhapuchre, the Annapurna Range, and the Mardi Himal. As you climb, the slope becomes thinner, and you can see the enormous valleys on each side. Your left will be the Modi Khola river valley, which is surrounded by settlements that soar up to the Annapurna Sanctuary. To your right, you can see the Mardi Khola and Seti river valleys. On bright days, you can even see the Pokhara Valley. You must continue to slog along the ridgeline until you reach High Camp. If you are fortunate, you could see Daphne, the national bird of Nepal, on your journey to the high camp.
You will rise early this morning to see the dawn over the mountains. In all of your ABC with Poon Hill and Mardi Himal Trek Itinerary, it will be the most memorable and difficult trek. The route requires you to make a number of quick ascents on uneven, steep steps, which makes it harder than you may think. You will travel for almost 5 hours to reach Mardi Himal Base Camp. At a height of 4500 meters/ 14,763ft, reaching the base camp while navigating a lush, green High Mountain will make you feel really successful. Additionally, the vast view of the snow-covered mountain ranges of Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal, Annapurna I (8,091m/ 25,545ft), Annapurna III (7,555m/ 24,786ft), and Gangapurna will fascinate you. After collecting those wonderful and breathtaking sights in your heart, you will make your way down to Badal Danda to take in the floating cloud that passes through you.
It’s time to descend to Siding village after spending some wonderful time at Badal Danda making wonderful memories, appreciating the spectacular Himalayan vistas, and learning about the local ecology with its unusual flora and wildlife. Instead of going back to Forest Camp, the Mardi Himal Trek with ABC via Poon Hill alternate path will drop to the wonderful village of Siding. After lunch in Siding, you will take a private jeep to Pokhara. You will have some free time in Pokhara in the evening to go boating or explore the lovely lakeside neighborhood.
After breakfast, a deluxe private Jeep will transport you from Pokhara to Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway. 200 kilometers/ 127 miles may be traveled in 5 to 6 hours, depending on traffic. You will pass through varied landscapes and come across the bustling bazaars of Damauli, Dumre, Mugling, etc. along the trip. You will join a celebration in the evening marking the successful completion of the Annapurna Base Camp via Poonhill with Mardi Trek. You may listen to live ethnic music while enjoying a typical Nepalese meal. You may buy souvenirs to bring home or snap pictures to document your journey.
Depending on your departure schedule, we will often set up an airport transfer service three hours before departure. If you have additional time, we can set up some side trips for you, or you may go exploring on your own.
