Detailed Itinerary
At the Tribhuwan International Airport, our airport representative will receive you. He will transport you to the hotel in a private tourist vehicle and help you check-in. After a lengthy flight, get some rest. To obtain your first sights of Kathmandu city, go outside to your hotel and explore some of the beautiful places. In the evening, there will be a trek briefing where you will also get to know your guide. The guide will provide you with information about the Annapurna Circuit Trek Itinerary and assist you with any missing equipment.
Departing early in the morning, a Jeep take you from your hotel to, Dharapani. Beautiful waterfalls, snow-capped mountains, and several suspension bridges will astound you on your Annapurna Circuit Trek Excursion. As you follow the Marsayangdi River side by side, you will travel through charming small villages like Ngadi, Bahundanda, Syange, Jagat, Chamje, and Tal before arriving at Dharapani. Travelers should register their identities and trekking permits at the police checkpoint in Dharapani.
Today your Annapurna Circuit Trek Route will travel over alpine territory, where the weather will change and become colder. Bagarchhap and Danakyu Tibetan settlements are reached after traveling through woodlands. Along with pine trees, farms, and vistas of the Lamjung and Annapurna II peaks, you will witness the apple-growing region. After passing through the lovely settlements of Timang, Thanchowk, and Koto, where the Naar-Phu path connects with the Annapurna Circuit trek, you will eventually arrive in Chame. At the entrance to the settlement, there is a sizable mani wall with prayer wheels. Manang’s district headquarters, Chame, is home to a number of amenities, including top-notch hotels, Internet cafés, stores selling hiking equipment, banks, and facilities for communication and health.
The Chame route travels through a stunning pine and rhododendron forest in a small, rocky valley. The route goes up and provides breathtaking views of rocky surfaces, including the face of Pangdi Danda and Swargadwari Danda, after crossing the Marshyangdi River on a suspension bridge. If you continue on your Annapurna Circuit Trekking Route, you will pass through the villages of Talekhu and Bhratang and arrive in Dhikur Pokhari. Many mountains, including Annapurna II, Pisang Peak, Chulu Peak, Tilicho Peak, and others, are visible from Dhikur Pokhari. You will next cross a suspension bridge across a river and begin walking toward Upper Pisang. Upper Pisang has magnificent views of the Annapurna Range’s Kuntu Danda, Longyo Danda, and Pisang Peak. Due to the thin air at Upper Pisang, some hikers may have trouble breathing.
You will travel the toughest path, which includes several steep ascents and twists, starting from Pisang. You will be trekking on the higher trails through Upper Pisang via Ghyaru and Ngawal, from where you can see magnificent views of Lamjung Himal (6,983m), Annapurna II (7,937m), Annapurna IV (7,525m), Gandarbha Chuli (6,250m), Annapurna III (7555m), Gangapurna (7,544m), Glacier Dome (7,193m), Khangsar Kan (6,091m). You will notice that the air becomes chilly, dry, and harsher as the trail increases. You will have the opportunity to learn about Buddhist culture as you go through the Tibetan communities on this path. Before arriving at Manang, it goes past the picturesque town of Munchi and the obscure hamlet of Braga. The biggest monastery in Manang is Barge Monastery, which you will be exploring. When you eventually get to Manang bazaar after passing several monasteries, you will see that the road is studded with Buddhist shrines. One of the largest settlements along the Annapurna Circuit Trek is Manang. All amenities are available here.
A crucial rest day is needed for acclimatization before ascending to high elevation and the Thorung La Pass. As per your Annapurna Circuit Trek Itinerary, today is your acclimatization day. Make the most of your time by taking a quick acclimatization stroll to Gangapurna Lake and its surroundings. This tourist attraction’s route is a little rocky and littered with tiny pebbles and garbage, but the scenery is spectacular. The Gangapurna Lake itself is serene and draws its water from melting glaciers since it is surrounded by gleaming mountains and rugged hills. Mt. Gangapurna, Khangsar Kang, Glacial Dom, and Annapurna can all be seen from the shoreline. Some hikers also like to go on a side hike to Ice Lake and Base Camp, which provide stunning landscapes. Their path offers stunning views of Chulu Peak, Tilicho, and Annapurna III.
Your Annapurna Circuit Route will ascend to the settlement of Tengi from Manang village, crosses a spring, and then continues to ascend out of the Marshyangdi Valley before turning northwest and ascending the Jarsang Khola valley. The path proceeds northward through this valley, slowly gaining altitude as it passes through a few meadows and a juniper tree scrub. The little settlement of Ghusang, which consists of a collection of mud-roofed structures, is located close to where the route continues to travel. The trail passes through yak and horse grazing meadows known as Yak Kharka. The path crosses a historic old Mani wall in a peaceful meadow after passing a small river on a wooden bridge, and it eventually reaches the lovely hamlet of Ledar.
You will walk to Thorung High Camp, also known as Thorung Phedi, today. Depending on your physical condition and the weather, it will take 4 to 5 hours to reach Thorung Phedi or Thorung High Camp. In these higher locations, the difficulty level and frequently severe winds are impacted by the higher altitude. Snow on the Annapurna Circuit Trek Route can make it take considerably longer. Following your guide, go gently and carefully. You may observe herds of Yaks and blue sheep grazing on the other side of the river, across from the course. In Thorung Phedi, there aren’t many tea places. Unlike the lush lowlands you crossed on the way up during the first part of the hike, the deserted, rocky environment is unearthly and quite different. Trekking to the High Camp will make the next day’s trip simpler if you are not exhausted and eager to go further.
Thorung La Pass, at 5416 meters, will be reached after a steeply ascending path from Thorung Phedi or Thorung High Camp. From Thorung La Pass, you can see the Annapurna Range, Thorong Peak, Dhaulagiri Range, Nilgiri, and other mountains in the distance. Your Annapurna Circuit Trek Route will descend down to Muktinath once you have taken a few pictures and taken in the scenery. All the way downhill is the route from Thorung La Pass to Muktinath. In addition to being a Buddhist temple, Muktinath is the second-largest Hindu temple. The Muktinath temple attracts plenty of Hindu pilgrims. In Muktinath, there are two small ponds and 108 water taps. Hindu peoples believe that if you take showers with 108 taps, you will be cleansed of the sin you did in your previous life. A holy natural gas flame glows behind a grill immediately above the spring at Dhola Mebar Gompa, or the Jwalamai (goddess of fire) temple, which is just a short distance away through a group of Chorten.
After visiting Muktinath Temple, return to the lodge for Lunch before preceding to Jomsom through Jharkot Village, Kagbeni, and Ekle Bhatti, which serves as the administrative center for the Mustang District. One of the windiest valleys in Nepal is Jomsom.
A major town called Jomsom is spread out along both sides of the Kali Gandaki River. The town serves as the primary transition point for trips to Muktinath and Upper Mustang. The Nepalese Army has a company stationed here. Jomsom Airport, which can accommodate aircraft from the Nepalese Army Air Service, has regular flights to Pokhara. You will go to the Jomsom airport this morning early in order to catch your aircraft to Pokhara. This will be your last trekking day on the mountain as per your Annapurna Circuit Trekking Itinerary. The flight time to Pokhara will be between 30 and 40 minutes. You can observe the route leading to Tatopani and Ghorepani as well as panoramic vistas of the Annapurna Himalaya Range throughout the flight.
Take advantage of a free day in Pokhara to unwind, relax, and rest your muscles after a long day of trekking. Pokhara offers the opportunity to explore a number of sights, including Phewa Lake, Tal Barahi, Devi’s fall, Gupteshwor Cave, World Peace Pagoda, International Mountain Museum, Bindabasini Temple, Mahendra Cave, and others. It is worthwhile to row out on the lake in a boat, especially if the weather is nice.
This is the last day of your Annapurna Circuit Trek Itinerary. This morning, after waking up in Pokhara, you’ll board a tourist bus to return to Kathmandu. The distance between Pokhara and Kathmandu is around 205 kilometers long, which follows the captivating Marsyangdi River and then the Trishuli River. Damauli bazaar, Dumre bazaar, and several other picturesque villages are all on the route from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Stunning views of snow-capped mountains, hilly terrain, and waterfalls are also provided by the drive. Our team will meet you as you arrive in the valley and lead you to your hotel so you can freshen up before spending your final evening in Nepal exploring Thamel or doing shopping.
Depending on your departure schedule, we will often set up an airport transfer service three hours before departure. If you have additional time, we can set up some side trips for you, or you may go exploring on your own.
